In “The Voice’s” December 6 live elimination results show, the four artists who will be competing in next week’s Finals were named. However this also meant that four artists were sent home. Although most would have hoped that the final four would represent all teams, but in this case, no one from Team Miley made the cut.
Top 3 Named, From Team Adam, Team Alicia and Team Blake
Host Carson Daly announced the first singer to advance to the finals: Team Adam’s Billy Gilman. America has repeatedly voted for this guy mainly because he is a stand-out performer and singer. He has also consistently topped the iTunes charts during the competition and this week was no exception, according to a report in The Hollywood Life.
The next name that Carson Daly called was country singer Sundance Head of Team Blake. Sundance is the only remaining singer in Blake Shelton’s team but he has made his coach proud by performing well during the live performances and topping the iTunes charts as well.
When it came to announcing the third finalist, Carson Daly called We McDonald. McDonald is coached by Alicia Keys and incidentally is the youngest singer in the competition.
Middle 3 Three Sing For the Instant Save, Aaron Gibson and Brendan Fletcher Eliminated
In tonight’s show, the bottom two singers were automatically eliminated and these were Aaron Gibson (Team Miley) and Brendan Fletcher. The middle three, Ali Caldwell (Team Miley), Josh Gallagher (Team Adam) and Christian Cuevas (Team Alicia), still had a chance to sing for the Instant Save.
After another set of all-out performances, the Twitter voting window was once again opened and after five minutes, results were in. After a short break, Carson Daly shared that America had voted to save Josh Gallagher. It became official that coach Miley Cyrus did not have a contestant that would advance to the finals.
Guest performances for the night included One Republic who sang their new song “Let’s Hurt Tonight,” and The Voice Season 11 finalist Hannah Huston performing her new single “I Alone Have Loved You.”
The Voice Season 11 Four Finalists
