This week features the start of the competition’s semi-finals and the coaches are hoping that their teams will come out strong in the final few weeks of the competition. “The Voice” 2016 Top 8 Revealed During the November 30 live elimination night, host Carson Daly announced who among the 10 artists were voted safe. In an earlier Pilipinas Popcorn report, the first to be declared safe were Brendan Fletcher and Sundance Head. After a while, Christian Cuevas and Ali Caldwell joined them. Later on in the show, Carson Daly announced that Billy Gillman and We McDonald were voted safe as well. The contestants who garnered the lowest votes were Courtney Harrell, Austin Allsup and Aaron Gibson. After their survival performances, the Twitter voting window for the instant save opened and after results came in, voters decided to save Aaron Gibson. He joins the rest of the saved artists to make up the top eight. Who Will Go Home Tonight? When it comes to the teams, country coach Blake Shelton is the only one left with one team member. Both Courtney and Austin who were eliminated last week were part of Team Blake. In tonight’s live performances, the following teams are still in the running. Only Team Adam was lucky enough to have three artists left in its roster, while both Team Alicia and Team Miley have two artists left each. Team Adam: Billy Gilman, Josh Gallagher, Brendan Fletcher Team Alicia: Christian Cuevas, Wé McDonald Team Miley: Aaron Gibson, Ali Caldwell Team Blake: Sundance Head Their live performances tonight will be a big factor in their advancing to the next stage of the competition, after which voters will have to choose their bet. Aside from the votes however, iTunes ranking is also a consideration, since making it to the Top 10 Singles Chart will mostly likely indicate a stronger chance to be saved. As TV Line observed, Aaron Gibson has been in the bottom three for the past weeks. If he does not step up his game tonight, he may once again face elimination.
