Share on Facebook Share on Twitter The Voice Teens on ABS-CBN starts its semifinal round this weekend. On July 22, teen artists from Team Sarah and FamiLea compete for the slots to the grand finals. After the performances tonight, Jona and Mica come out as representatives of Team Sarah and FamiLea. During this round, the teen artists will receive scores from their coaches. These scores will be combined with public voting results to determine who will move to the next round. Team Sarah’s Nisha And Jona Pour Their Hearts Out Team Sarah’s teen artists, Nisha and Jona take center stage first. Nisha chooses Can’t Take That Away From Me as her semis song. During rehearsals, coach Sarah gives her tips on her performance, especially on enjoying it. After her heartfelt performance, coach Bamboo commended her for not oversinging the song and maintaining the simplicity of the song. Young Jona chose The Greatest Love Of All for her song. Coach Sarah told her during rehearsals to be careful not to lose the heart of the song. Coach Sharon says she was impressed with her performance, while Sarah said that this was the reason why it was always a joy to watch her sing. FamiLea’s Turn: Chan And Mica On Stage Chan, the teen artist from Davao, chooses a contemporary take on A Song For You. Sharon praised him after his performance, saying that he was 1 million times better than when he entered the competition. Coach Lea simply called it beautiful and heartfelt. Classical singer Mica, picks Loving You for her semis song. Bamboo liked her performance very much, because it showed a different, more playful side of herself. Lea also commended her for her song choice, which showed her pop sensibilities. The Coaches And The Public Speak Before the voting lines were closed, coaches Sarah and Lea gave their scores to their teen artists. Sarah gives 97 to Jona, and only 95 for Nisha. Lea on the other hand, gives Mica a score of 95 and Chan, 90. After a quick pre-birthday surprise for coach Sarah, hosts Luis and Toni announce the results of the combined votes and coach’s scores. Team Sarah will be represented by Jona, who gets a total combined score of 98.5%. FamiLea moves to the grand finals with Mica, who got a combined score of 97.5%. On July 23, it will be Kamp Kawayan and Team Sharon’s turn on the semis stage.
