The Voice Teens June 24 Recap: Best Battle Goes To Team Bamboo

The Voice Teens enters its last set of battles this weekend and on June 24, Kamp Kawayan brings the best battle of the night. Teen artists Emarjhun and Andrea slay their rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, leaving their coach speechless.

Coach Sharon says she loved the way Andrea brought her as she soared through the song. Lea on the other hand says that both artists had their hearts in their performance. Bamboo before choosing the winner says he was still surprised by how both of them stepped up. He eventually chooses Emarjhun.

Team Sarah Steals Andrea

Andrea’s journey however does not end here, as coach Sarah pushed her steal button, welcoming her into Team Sarah. The video of their battle has hit over 500,000 hits as of June 25, 10 a.m.

Gia, Zyra, Felipe Continue To Knockouts

Team Sarah’s battle between Gia and Genesis comes in second in terms of number of views. The two teen artists who both have contemporary voices take on an older song, Weak by SWV. While both young artists did well, the other coaches were impressed with Genesis’ vocal dexterity but also noticed how Gia was more comfortable in her performance. Sarah chose Gia for the knockout rounds.

The two other battles were that of Team Sharon and Team Lea. For Team Lea, she pairs off Felipe and Mia, who have very unique voices. The other coaches enjoyed watching them especially seeing how both of them grooved with the song. After their performance of Killing Me Softly, she chooses Felipe as the winner.

Team Sharon’s final pair for the battles tonight are Ashley and Zyra. The teen artists take on Sarah Geronimo’s version of A Very Special Love. During rehearsals, both singers faced their own challenges with the song. In the end, coach Sharon goes with Zyra.

The Voice Teens airs on ABS-CBN every Saturday at 7:15 p.m. and every Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
