Philippines, are you ready for the first ever The Voice Teens competition? On April 16, the first round of blind auditions will premiere on ABS-CBN at 7:00 p.m. And if the teaser videos are any indication, the coaches and the viewers are in for some big talent.

#TheVoiceTeens Coaches Share Their Own Experiences As Teens

Before the blind auditions started, each of the coaches shared their own experiences as teenagers. Each of them shared what they were going through during that time in their lives. All of them had one thing in common – they were already in their own path of becoming artists.

To cap off the segment, the coaches show off their artistry in their collaboration of Next In Line.

#TheVoiceTeens Team Sarah Gets First Member

First up is John McEarl “Mikko” Estrada from Metro Manila. During his intro video, we find out that he attended music workshops before. He also serves as a youth ambassador to the Mangyans.

He performed Inigo Pascual’s Dahil Sa ‘Yo and towards the end of his song, he got a four chair turn. All of the coaches agreed that he was a breath of fresh air and that he seemed to enjoy his performance.

Each of the coaches tried to convince him to join their respective teams. When he chose his coach, he said that he felt this coach will be able to help him. He also said that this coach was his idol and his crush also. He chose to be part of Team Sarah.

#TheVoiceTeens Roy Vinzon’s Daughter Joins Kamp Kawayan

The next to take the stage is Isabela Vinzon who is a daughter of actor Roy Vinzon. She shares that her dad is her inspiration in her quest to become a well-known singer.

She comes on stage to sing a challenging song, Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. Only two coaches turn: Bamboo and Sharon. After each of the coaches talk, she then makes her choice. She decided to join Kamp Kawayan or Bamboo’s team.

#TheVoiceTeens FamiLea Gets First Member

The next aspiring teen artist is Neil Patrick Corporal from Sampaloc, Manila. Neil Patrick is not only a singer but is also a songwriter. Armed with a guitar, he performs Fly Me To The Moon.

Neil Patrick got a four chair turn. Each of the coaches shared what they liked about his performance. His performance was called soothing, clean and just chill. Lea said that she heard so much potential. Bamboo on the other had said that he needed his kind of creative talent in his team. He finally chooses to join FamiLea.

#TheVoiceTeens Team Sharon Bags One Artist

The final aspiring teen artist for the night is Zyra Peralta from Cavite. As it turns out, she is a huge fan of one of the coaches, Sharon. She sings one of Sharon’s songs, Bituing Walang Ningning.

As she sang, only Sharon turned her chair. When Zyra saw Sharon, she almost stopped singing because she was in tears. But she managed to finish her song.

The other coaches admitted that they let go of this one because they felt that this artist was Sharon’s. When Sharon approached her to welcome her, Zyra was once again in tears. She then told Sharon about her mom who was suffering from cancer.
