1. Take the course your heart desires.

Go for what you want! It would never be hard for you to do anything you are passionate about. You could try to do something out of curiosity or for an experience but you have to think wise. College is your stepping stone to molding your future. In college, you have to start making wise decisions. You have to analyze the effects of your actions- if it would benefit you in the future or not.

2. Stop being a pessimist.

Always remember that you attract what you are. If you are a positive person, good things come so as when you are a pessimist, you attract negative things. Keeping a positive outlook on everything lessens stress. Optimism rises your self-motivation in fulfilling a certain task. Also, optimism will help you be a more productive and effective college student. You should understand that attitude is always the key to success!

3. A supportive family.

At the end of the day, a home saves the day. After a tiring and stressing day, it would always be better to have a place you can call home. A home, your comfort zone. A strong support system is often the key to success. Hearing words of appreciation are often forgotten but it always helps to relieve stress. Appreciation is the best motivation!

4. Good influence friends.

Aside from having a motivating home, expanding your comfort zone will lessen stress. You should learn how to pick your friends wisely. Meeting a lot of new people could excite you and make you try to do new things, but trying new things always have limitations. You have to see to it that the pressure you feel among your peer is something motivating. Something motivating enough to push you to be a better person, not to make you lose track of your goal. True friends should be your second family. A family that will support you to keep excelling and developing new skills and talents. A family that will keep a good and positive company while you are achieving your goals.

5. Always keep with you a reminder.

In college, you could not avoid experiencing breakdowns. Moments that will make you want to give up despite your passion in whatever you are doing. There will always come a time where you will doubt yourself and your efforts. During this challenging moments, it is helpful to have something with you to remind you of “what are all these for?” Keep it somewhere you could always see to keep yourself reminded every time you think of giving up.

As college students, molding your own path, stresses will always come your way. These stresses may motivate you or be a hindrance for you to keep going. Even if, these stresses should not block your ability to be the best you can be. College is stressful but having no future is more stressful. It’s like driving not knowing your destination, and wasting your gasoline to nothing until your car stops to nowhere. Do not let your efforts, pains and investments go to waste.
