Cornelia “Tita Angge” Lee passed away on March 2 due to a heart attack. The talent manager had been in a coma for the past year. Former talents under her wing like Lotlot de Leon remembered her as someone who looked out for her talents like a parent would for her children.
Tita Angge’s roster of talents which included de Leon and Sylvia Sanchez of The Greatest Love has spoken about their beloved manager and her condition before her death.
Tita Angge: ‘More Than Just A Manager’
Speaking to the Inquirer, Lotlot de Leon described Tita Angge as “like a mother” to her. Lotlot also shared that she was monitoring her health after she fell into a coma last year. She said that she was hoping that Tita Angge would recover and eventually wake up.
Lee has been in a coma since she was rushed to the hospital March of last year. She complained of chest pains as she was having a heart attack. Although doctors managed to revive her, she became dependent on a ventilator to keep her alive. According to Sylvia Sanchez, she and others who were under Tita Angge were “only hoping for a miracle.”
Nothing More Could Be Done
According to the report, Lee’s daughters were hopeful that their mother’s situation would change. But when they had doctors check her again several weeks ago, the doctors said that “there was nothing more they could do.” This was shared by Sanchez, who was in touch with Tita Angge’s daughters.
She also added, “Her loved ones held on to her for as long as they could. It’s easy for us outsiders to say that Tita A should have been made to rest a long time ago, but when faced with the same situation–God forbid–we would probably do the same thing.”
