Share on Facebook Share on Twitter “Unexpectedly Yours” starring Sharon Cuneta, Robin Padilla, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto has so far earned 157 million in the box office. Sharon posted a photo on Instagram, thanking fans for their support since the movie premiered. It earned a total of 14M on its debut on Nov 29. “From the bottom of my overwhelmed, grateful and humbled heart, maraming, maraming salamat po! God bless us all. We love you!” Sharon wrote in her post caption. (See the post below.) As of this writing, the post has attracted over 2,000 likes. A lot of the commenters, mostly proud Sharonians, shared positive words about the movie, which has a PG rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and a Grade A from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB). One of the commenters said the movie wasn’t boring from start to finish. The moviegoers enjoyed the light story about Patty (Sharon Cuneta) and her daughter Yanni (Julia Barretto) as their lives intertwine with the uncle-and-nephew tandem of Cocoy (Robin Padilla) and Jason (Joshua Garcia). The success of the movie further proves the star power of JoshLia who also starred in “Vince & Kath & James” (2016) and “Love You To The Stars And Back” (2017). Both of these JoshLia movies earned over 100M each in the box office. “Unexpectedly Yours” also proves that the 1990s tandem of Sharon and Robin truly deserved the cinematic reunion. Their last movie was “Pagdating Ng Panahon” (2001), which was the 20th anniversary presentation of Viva Films. “Unexpectedly Yours” was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
