United Airlines

Honeymooners Mike and Rachael Brumfield just saved the day. While sitting before take off on United Airlines flight 170 set to fly to Venice, Italy, the couple was alarmed to see fuel gushing out from the plane’s wing. Feeling worried, husband Mike informed the United crew, and soon enough, the incident was addressed. Thanks to these two superheroes. If it weren’t for them, the world would have had another record of a plane crash, perhaps. Unfortunately, for the newly weds, it didn’t turn out well.

After vacating the plane, the couple weren’t exactly treated well. Moreover, while waiting for another flight, they found themselves sleeping on the airport floors. Couple saves the day and were left sleeping on the floor what happened?

The real story behind

Here’s the real deal. Right after they disembark from the plane authorities kept thanking them. Cosmopolitan reports the two were offered food voucher by the Airline. However, they weren’t offered a room to spend the night while waiting for their Delta flight rebooked the following day. So to address their human need to rest, the couple found themselves sleeping on airport floors.

The couple felt betrayed for such treatment. On Mike’s Facebook post, he sarcastically thanked United Airlines. He said the airlines promised to take “good care” of them. But that was not the case.

New York Post reports Rachael stated, “I will never fly United again,” and “Every person there was awful.” Should the Airlines have fulfilled their promise to the couple, they would have felt less devastated about their delayed flight to their cruise honeymoon.

United refused to address the couple’s account of the incident. However, they offered only a general statement. “While taxiing to the runway yesterday evening, United flight 170 traveling from Newark to Venice, Italy returned to the gate due to a fuel leak, and was later canceled. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience. Our team helped provide customers with hotel accommodations for the night and are working to get them back on their way to Venice today,” said spokesman Jonathan Guerin.
