Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla, Pia Wurtzbach Movie: 5 Things We Know

Get ready for the unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Teen King Daniel Padilla to take over the big screen soon. Fans are going crazy about the upcoming star-studded movie coming out this year. A story conference was already held at the Manila Hotel on Thursday, June 15. Not much has been revealed about the movie yet but here’s what we know so far.

1.It’s a superhero comedy film

Star Cinema confirmed on their website that the movie will feature Vice, Daniel, and Pia as superheroes. According to ABS-CBN News, when asked about the story’s genre, Vice reasoned out that superheroes are “what we need right now.”

2.It is vying for a spot in the 2017 MMFF

In an interview with ABS-CBN during a thanksgiving party of “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” Teen King Daniel Padilla hinted that the comedy might be an entry to the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival in December. Will this movie beat the record of Vice Ganda’s “The Super Parental Guardians”? The movie was the country’s highest grossing Filipino film to date with a P590 million box office gross. 

3.Binibining Joyce Bernal set to direct movie

The MMFF 2013 Best Director Binibining Joyce Bernal will be the director of the upcoming movie. Bernal has directed several award-winning movies over the years. This is not the first time she will work with Vice Ganda and Daniel Padilla.

4.Comedians MC, Lassy, and Wacky Kiray to take part in the movie

Get ready to laugh your hearts out. According to a tweet from James Banaag of Star Cinema, the movie’s other cast members include today’s famous comedians MC, Lassy, and Wacky Kiray. You know what that means? A whole lot of laughs.

5.Kathryn Bernardo to ‘probably’ appear in the said project

A Daniel Padilla movie can’t be complete without the Teen King’s Queen. According to PEP, Daniel expects Kathryn’s participation in the project. But as of the moment, the actress’s appearance can’t be confirmed yet. He said, “I’m sure lalabas din si Kathryn.” Whether a supporting role or special participation, we can’t wait to see the teen couple back on the big screen!

This project jumpstarts the acting career of Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach in the showbiz industry. As for Vice Ganda and Daniel Padilla tandem, this will be their second collab in a film after 2012’s “Sisterakas.”
