Things are heating up in “The Voice Teens” on ABS-CBN. The battle rounds premiered Sunday, June 4. Coaches Sharon Cuneta, Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo each has 12 artists hoping to go through to the next level of the singing competition. Team Bamboo wins best moment this weekend. Here’s why.
Seventeen-year-old Fritzy Eluna, from Bacolod, and 15-year-old Bea Muñoz from Las Piñas, were showstoppers in Sunday’s episode. Thanks to Coach Bamboo, who trained these young ladies to put their fierce on, the audience enjoyed their first fiery battle this season.
Team Bamboo’s teens stole the show with Aerosmith’s “Dream On.” Coach Lea said it’s one of the most unforgettable battles the show has ever delivered, so far. As for Coach Sarah, she hinted at being ready to use one of her steals even before Coach Bamboo announced his decision.
True to her word, Coach Sarah stole Fritzy after Coach Bamboo declared Bea as the winner of his team’s first battle round. Watch the videos below to see Fritzy and Bea in their blind auditions:
Two young artists have ended their journey by the end of Sunday’s episode. Team Sharon’s Sophia Dalisay, 17, from Australia, lost to Daryl Sevillejo, 15, from Dumaguete. They sang “Got To Believe” by David Pomeranz.
Team Sarah’s Johann Ramirez, 13, from Cabanatuan City, also ended his journey in the show after losing to Ivan Navares, 16, from Leyte. They took on Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away.”
