Beauty and the Beast 2017 Movie

Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watsons and Dan Stevens. It is an adaptation of the Disney fairy tale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love. There’s much anticipation and much controversy on the upcoming film.

According to CNN, the movie might be banned in Russia because of an “exclusive gay moment” between the character of LeFou and another guy character during a dance. Vitaly Milonov sent a letter to the Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky which was reported by state-run news agency Ria Novsti. The report says the Russian lawmaker moved to ban the movie and labeled it “a blatant, shameless propaganda of sin and perverted sexual relationships.”

Beauty and the Beast comes to Philippine theaters on March 16, 2017.
