Well, in a recent interview, fellow label mate under Blossom Entertainment surprised Song Joong Ki and had nothing but good words to say about the film and his acting skills. Battleship Island is about a group of 400 Joseon workers during the Japanese occupation era and their attempt to escape from a forced labor camp on Hashima Island. Song Joong Ki plays the role of a member of the Korean independence movement. He infiltrates the Island to rescue his friend. The movie premiered in South Korea on Wednesday, July 26. It was first promoted at the European Film Market in February and then at the Cannes Film Festival in May. On June 16, a press conference was held at the National Museum of Korea to launch the film. Park Bo Gum on Song Joong Ki’s acting, ‘it was really cool’ The Battleship Island was released in South Korea on Wednesday. An interview was conducted in honor of its release. During the interview, Soompi reported that fellow label mate and Love In The Moonlight Star Park Bo Gum crashed the interview. This took Song Joong Ki by surprise. Park Bo Gum showed up with ice flakes and red beans and to that Song Joong Ki called him a good fellow. The two are known to be very good friends. Park Bo Gum then shared his thoughts about his friend’s upcoming movie. Thanks to a recent VIP showing of the film, he can give his honest opinion on Joong Ki’s acting. Park Bo Gum said the movie reminded him of the painful history of their country. He went on and said, “Song Joong Ki’s acting was the best. It was really cool.” The Battleship Island premieres in HongKong on August 3, in Singapore on August 17, Taiwan on August 18. The Philippines is fortunate enough to be one of the international markets to show the movie. According to a report by MYX, the movie is set to premiere in the Philippines in July.
