Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla welcomed their baby girl, Isabella on November 14, Monday. Robin shared the news of the birth through an Instagram post. He even shared a video of the birth as he witnessed it happen via video chat. Padilla could not join his wife in America in time for the birth.
Mariel and Robin’s baby girl was born at 7:56 a.m., weighing 7.3 lbs. and measuring 20 inches, according to Robin’s post.

The first part of the video showed the couple talking about Mariel’s blood type. It then cut through the part after the baby came out. During this part, Robin said that he was supposed to be the one to cut the umbilical cord. In the end, Mariel’s father Abelardo Termullo did the honor of cutting the cord.
Robin also took this chance to thank everyone who helped his wife. These included among others, the doctor and the nursing staff, and Mariel’s family in America.
Mariel Rodriguez Baby: Labor And Birth Documented On Instagram
The couple openly shared through social media their experience as their baby girl was being born. In an earlier Instagram post, Robin also shared his video conversation with Mariel as she was beginning labor. As the video showed, she said that labor has started. When Robin asked her if she was giving birth soon, she said “Isabella is the one who decides, not anyone else.”

In same video, Robin also apologized to his wife for not being with her during this time. According to an Inquirer report, he was not able to apply for a U.S. visa in time because of a 1994 illegal possession of firearms charge. The US is very strict about prior convictions in visa applicants.
