Miss Universe 2016 Grand Coronation on Jan 30 (Jan 29 in the US), dubbed “The Most Beautiful Day In The Universe” is happening right now. Broadcast live from the Philippines, this is the most-awaited coronation night of the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. Eighty six countries will vie for the title. Who will end up wearing the crown tonight? Miss Universe 2016 airs live via Solar Entertainment and GMA from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

#MissUniverse 86 Candidates Enter In Their Evening Dresses

The show started with the grand entrance of the 86 contestants. Strutting on stage while Flo Rida was performing, the contestants made their grand entrance in their evening gowns.

After all the contestants were all on stage, the host for night Steve Harvey was called on stage as well. During his introduction, he called the contestants among the “most empowering women in the world” citing that there were women who held careers. He also introduced his co-host for the night, Ashley Graham.

#MissUniverse Pia Wurtzbach On Stage

After a quick introduction by Ashley about what to expect from her, Steve presented a short video about Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. He then called her on stage.

When Steve asked her about her experience as Miss Universe, she said that the year “exceeded her expectations.” She also thanked Steve for making her the most famous Miss Universe. Steve, on the other hand, thanked Pia for making him the most famous host of the Miss Universe.

The Miss Universe Top 13 finalists took the stage and walked the runway on their swimsuits.

Miss Universe 2016 Q and A: Maxine Medina Answers

Maxine Medina was the first to brave the Question and Answer portion. As reported, she asked for an interpreter to be with her during this portion. The question that was posed to her was: “What is the most significant change you’ve seen in the last 10 years?” After hearing her interpreter translate it, she proceeded to answer the question in English.

Her answer was: “The last 10 years of being here in the world is that I saw all the people bringing in one event like this in Miss Universe, it’s something big for us,  we are one, we are one nation all together.”

Miss Universe 2016 Winner, Boyz II Men Perform

As previously announced, Boy II Men took the stage and performed a medley of their hit songs, “On Bended Knee,” “I’ll Make Love To You,” and “End of The Road.” Miss Colombia, Miss France and Miss Haiti walked on the sateg while Boyz II Men seranaded them with their hits before the crowned Miss Universe 2016 was announced.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Qurtzbach walked the Miss Universe stage for the last time and gave her last message to her supporters ready to crown Miss Universe 2016. The judges have spoken–
