She confirmed that she will be a judge of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5, which premieres on April 5. Through her Instagram post, she shared her photo holding an Asia’s Next Top Model shirt. She also captioned it “Catch the season premiere on April 5 as I judge to find Asia’s Next Top Model.” Pia Wurtzbach As Guest Judge Of Asia’s Next Top Model As early as January, Pia had confirmed her role as a guest judge in the next cycle. The official Facebook page of the show released a promotional poster of the regular judges and Pia. In the announcement, they called Pia a “special guest.” During an interview with Boy Abunda, she also shared that she will only be appearing in several episodes of the show but not all the episodes. She had to prioritize her commitments to the Miss Universe organization as she was still the reigning Miss Universe during that time. Nevertheless, her Filipino fans will surely watch out for her during the show, as thousands of netizens expressed their excitement that they will see Pia once again. Filipino Models In Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 Other netizens noted that her presence in the show may give Filipino models a chance to win the competition. Filipinas usually only make it to second place, which is the case in Cycle 3 and Cycle 4. A few also commented that Pia’s participation in the show is one strategy to get more Filipino viewers this season. Three Filipina models are competing in Cycle 5: Jennica Sanchez, Anjelica Santillan, and Maureen Wroblewitz. Sanchez is a 20-year old graduate of Fashion Design and Marketing, while Wrobelewitz is half German, half Filipino who recently moved to the country. The oldest in the bunch is 22-year old Santillan who is an aspiring law student.
