Piko Taro, Sesame Sreet

Kosaka Daimaou a.k.a Piko Taro on Sesame Street! Oh yes. Cookie Monster and Elmo performed with well-known viral sensation PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple Pen) singer on Sesame Street Japan. The trio made Sesame Street’s version of the smash hit with CBCC, “Cookie-Butter-Choco-Cookie.”

Piko Taro On Sesame Street, Cookie-Butter-Choco-Cookie

The episode aired on Thursday. The CBCC video was published in YouTube on November 17. It was viewed 0ver 900,000 times in four days. The video had over 10,000 likes.

The video shows Piko Taro dancing to the same PPAP tune with Cookie Monster and Elmo. The lyrics were changed to Cookie-Butter-Choco-Cookie.

Kosaka did a tutorial on hand gestures and dance steps for Cookie Monster and Elmo. The lyrics are different, signature moves are the same. Kosaka stressed that holding a cookie is very different from holding a pineapple and an apple. Piko Taro wore his signature yellow leotard suit and scarf during the Sesame episode.

The new line people will be singing is, “I have a cookie, I have a choco, uh, choco cookie. I have a cookie, I have butter, uh, butter cookie. Choco cookie, butter cookie, uh, cookie-butter-choco-cookie.”

‘Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen song is the shortest song to break the Billboard Hot 100. This put Piko Taro on the Guinness World Records.
