Sixteen years ago, reel and some time real couple Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla made their last movie together. Pagdating ng Panahon was the last time their fans saw their chemistry on screen. Come Nov. 29, fans of the loveteam will be treated to their reunion movie, Unexpectedly Yours, which also features Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia.
Star Cinema released the movie’s teaser trailer last Nov. 11, giving the public a glimpse of the movie’s characters and its story.
Sharon Cuneta-Robin Padilla Bring Kilig Moments Onscreen
The teaser trailer begins with scenes of a seemingly drunk Sharon walking aimlessly along a corridor and mistakenly enters a room where Robin is staying in. She is described as “a woman who loses it all” as she is shown fainting as Robin falls to the floor with Sharon in his arms.
In the next scene, Julia is shown jogging around in their neighborhood, with a smitten Joshua following her around. She turns out to be Sharon’s daughter, “a girl who can’t wait for her life to begin.”
Later in the trailer, it is revealed that Robin and Joshua are related, as they pursue both women persistently. In one funny scene, both men bring pork adobo to the Sharon’s house. Sharon declines by saying that she is on a diet, while Julia says she does not want to get fat. Robin then brings on the kilig by saying that it does not matter if Julia will end up being as beautiful as her mother. Sharon then gives Robin a dagger look.
JoshLia’s Chemistry To Shine As Well
The younger loveteam of Julia and Joshua, collectively known as JoshLia, is known for drawing in the younger crowd of moviegoers. Unexpectedly Yours will surely be a good combination of Robin and Sharon’s chemistry and JoshLia’s charm. The film is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina for Star Cinema.
