The Superbowl isn’t something the typical Filipino pays attention too… unless it’s for the trailers that come with it. Film studios are finally ready to build the hype for 2018’s salvo of blockbusters, and oh boy, this is good. So strap yourselves in, and take a couple minutes off your time. You don’t want to miss these blockbuster previews. Here are 5 Trailers You Have to See Right Now.
Westworld Season 2
Let’s start off with a series trailer. As the end of Game of Thrones looms in the horizon, Westworld eyes its spot as HBO’s next big thing. Westworld Season 2 premieres
The Cloverfield Paradox
This one was quite a surprise. Only on Netflix do movies premiere on the same day as the trailer, but we’re not complaining. Unfortunately, this is the least informative of the trailers on this list. Nonetheless, it does pique a person’s interest, especially if you remember the original. The Cloverfield Paradox is currently streaming on Netflix.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
While many (myself included) prefer the original two Jurassic films, there’s a lot to love about Chris Pratt’s reboot. Pratt reprises his role as Owen Brady as he — by the looks of things — attempts to save the dinosaurs from a volcanic eruption. It also seems Fallen Kingdom is following its predecessor’s footsteps, taking dinosaurs to the city ala The Lost World. If you’re a fan of the reboot, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom premieres June 22.
Avengers: Infinity War
Here it is, folks: the long-awaited climax to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has taken ten years worth of movies, and our heroes are finally taking on Thanos. Get ready to cry tears of joy as the Avengers assemble one last time. Of course, if you’re familiar with the comic books, then get ready to cry tears of sorrow as well. Infinity War premieres May 4.
Solo: A Star Wars Story
The fan service is strong in this one. True, this isn’t as anticipated as Infinity War, but come on… it’s Han Solo in his days as a space outlaw. What more can you ask for? Alden Ehrenreich takes the mantle of the captain of the Millenium Falcon in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Unfortunately, he doesn’t exactly pass as a Harrison Ford lookalike, but then again, no one does. Solo premieres May 25.
