Claudia Barretto Being Likened To Selena Gomez In Debut Single, Stay

Claudia Barretto is making a name for herself through her debut single, “Stay.” Claudia comes from an A-list family of actors and actresses and she’s taking a different path making music. Now that her music video is out, people are saying she kind of looks like the international singer, Selena Gomez.

Claudia Isabelle Barretto Baldivia is the daughter of actress Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Dominguez Padilla. She is the younger sister of Julia Barretto and was born on July 26, 1999. The budding music star has around 600k likers on Facebook already. It wouldn’t be so hard for her to make it into the music industry as she already has a fan base in place.

Claudia Barretto like Selena Gomez netizen says

After much anticipation, Claudia drops the music video for her debut single on YouTube on May 29. Just days after posting, it’s had around 70k views on YouTube. It is available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, and Spinner.

Fans on YouTube couldn’t help but admire the young singer for her voice and of course her looks. She is a Barretto after all. There were interesting comments that came up on the thread. Some say she sounds like an international singer and even said she looked like the international star, Selena Gomez. Others also say the whole video gives that Gomez vibe. What do you think?

One thing that definitely sets Claudia apart from the Barretto clan is that she has what it takes to make it in the music industry. The young singer talks to ABS-CBN about her music career. She says, “It’s something that will set me apart. At the same time, I’ve never really tried acting and I am more into singing. It’s much easier for me to be a singer than an actress.”

Claudia went on to thank her fans for the good comments and for downloading and buying the song. She also thanks her mom, Marjorie, and sister Julia who were very supportive of her. Claudia’s song “Stay” is now fourth on Spotify’s Viral 50 in the Philippines.
