He posts the video on his Facebook page, while commenting how governments spend millions of dollars for promotional videos such as this. Nas creates the video days after a controversial tourism ad was pulled out by the Department of Tourism for allegedly copying a 2014 South African tourism ad. According to an Inquirer report, the department also cancelled its multi-million peso contract with the ad agency behind the ad. For Nas: ‘There Is More Love In The Philippines’ According to Nas, who is known for creating and posting a 1-minute video every day, he only spends $100 a day to make them. He also expressed his amazement at the amount spent by governments on videos made by ad agencies. He then shows a 30-second video seen below which he made to promote the Philippines. It starts with a simple statement about how Filipinos are found everywhere in the world and that one is most likely to meet a Filipino. He then gives the reasons why he thinks the country is worth a visit – because there is more love in the Philippines. Most of the shots in the 30-second video were taken by Nas when he visited the country recently. He also has an 8-minute video which shows what he saw in 8 days in the Philippines. Tourism Department To Crowdsource Ideas For Tourism Campaign In related news, the Department announced that it is turning to social media to generate original ideas for the country’s tourism campaign. According to the Philippine Star, the department will sponsor competitions to draw out the best ideas. They also called on netizens to “join the search for the original ideas.” The move to crowdsource ideas for the tourism campaign comes after consultations were held with tourism stakeholders. According to them, everyone is encouraged to share, even the youth. In preparation for this, a new set of terms is being crafted by the Department for the upcoming campaign, after they cancelled their contract with Mc Cann Worldgroup, the ad agency behind the controversial ad.
