Businessman Xian Gaza surrenders to the authorities over claims of failed investment scams on April 12. Xian, popularly known as the guy who asked Erich Gonzales for a date over a cup of coffee through a billboard in Morayta. Gonzales declined the offer. At that time, she was in a relationship with Model/Actor Daniel Matsunaga. 

Gaza revealed his plans on his social media accounts mid-morning on Thursday. He wrote on Instagram, “Xian Gaza, 24, Filipino, Single, WANTED.” He will face charges against him filed by Jaime Asuncion and Melinda Cruz. 

Xian Gaza is a notorious scammer

When news of his viral billboard proposal came out, some people took advantage of that time to expose him. In a video from GMA News, people from his past businesses have come to report Gaza of his false promises. Even Ella Cruz’s mom confirmed via Inquirer report that Gaza scammed her family.

On April 12, he surrendered. Xian faces two warrants, both for his alleged investment scam. He will also face a warrant for not showing up to a Malabon court for hearing after Asuncion and Cruz summoned him.

In 2017, Gaza offered Ella Cruz to invest in a coffee shop business. The teen star invested 2 million pesos for the shop. Gaza then canceled the deal and said that the other partner backed out. It turns out that Asuncion was the business partner. He claims that he didn’t back out from the project and gave a million pesos for it.

In a video from Twitter posted by Marc Jayson Cayabyab of Philippine star, he asked his fans and friends for help. He admitted that he became a fraud and a scammer. Gaza needs 160 thousand pesos for his bail.

Meanwhile, Twitterverse turned into a Xian Gaza meme capital. Users posted photos of Gaza inside his cell and added funny captions on it. One user said that the photos resembled Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” music video in 2009. Another one associated the photos by how he feels after deciding on things he would regret later on. One even compared it to loving someone even if it’s a “crime.”
