Puno, Sam as Alicia Keys, Elha as Sharon Cuneta, AC as Sandara Park and finally, Awra as Daniel Padilla.
Viewers will likely be excited to see last week’s winner, Awra, and see how he will transform into teen idol Daniel Padilla.
#YFSFCutenessOverload Alonzo as Rico J. Puno
Before the first performance, host Billy gave a recap of the scores of the kids so far. Awra is on top with 24 stars, followed by AC with 19 stars and Elha with 18 stars.
Before the performance, Alonzo was shown undergoing training with his vocal coach and dance coach. He was also shown getting some tips from Rico J. Puno. Alonzo performed Rico J. Puno’s “Macho Gwapito.”
When the jury was asked to give their comments, Ogie was the first to share his thoughts. Ogie said that it did him good that he got some tips from his “Lolo” Rico because it reflected in his performance. Sharon said that she was so amazed with him being able to do Lolo Rico’s moves. Gary commended him for being able to act like the real Rico J. Puno.
#YFSFCutenessOverload Sam as Alicia Keys
It is Sam’s first time to imitate a female artist – Alicia Keys. Sam said that what he found most difficult was to do the female moves. During his performance, his vocal chops allowed him to sing and sound like Alicia, singing “If I Ain’t Got You.”
Gary was first to give his comments – he said that Sam successfully was able to look alike and move alike like Alicia Keys. Ogie said that Sam disappeared and became Alicia Keys. Sharon also noted that in his performances, he becomes the person assigned to him and internalize the character.
#YFSFCutenessOverload Lyca as Lady Gaga
Lyca’s preparation for her performance as Lady Gaga showed the effort she put into it. She had difficulty with the lyrics and learning the dance moves of Lady Gaga as well. She performed Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.”
After her performance, Sharon shared her comments on it. She said that in terms of entertainment value, they were surprised to see that she knew how to dance. However, she noted that Lyca lacked eye contact with the audience. Gary agreed with Sharon, adding that Lyca had very beautiful eyes, which would have more impact if she interacted with the audience. He also said that Lyca should keep in mind what one of the coaches said to her – to forget about the contest and enjoy herself. Ogie commented that Lyca’s performance has improved since last week.
#YFSFCutenessOverload Awra as Daniel Padilla
Awra, last week’s winner, had an extra challenge this week. Awra was assigned to imitate teen heartthrob Daniel Padilla. From the start, he said that he found it difficult because he did not like acting like a young man. He came out performing Daniel’s signature song “Nasa Yo Na Ang Lahat.”
Sharon commented that Awra was still not able to get rid of his “feminine” moves during his performance, but said that she was entertained. Gary and Ogie noted that although he did well in his performance, they could tell that he was not comfortable. They encouraged him to exert some more effort in his next performance.
Tomorrow, four more kids will perform their assigned icons.
“Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” airs on ABS-CBN at 7:15 p.m. Saturday and at 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
