Ed Sheeran, Divide

British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran takes his Divide Tour to Manila and is set to be on November 7. Aside from Manila, The “Shape of You” singer recently added eight more cities to his Asia Tour namely Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Mumbai. Filipino fans are ecstatic about the upcoming concert and can’t wait to get more information on ticket prices and such.

The recent addition of Manila Ed Sheeran’s Asia tour was announced via Ed Sheeran’s website on May 10. The singer teased about his Philippine concert via the Warner Music Philippines Facebook page. He said he would be seeing Filipino fans “towards the end of the year.” Ovation Productions has then released a date but other than that not much has been revealed.

Ed Sheeran Concert Philippines 2017

Grammy Award-winning artist Ed Sheeran had his first Philippine concert in March 2015 for his “Multiply” album. He comes back after two years right after his Hong Kong leg concert which is set on Nov. 4 and 5. His recent album “Divide” topped music charts in 14 countries and is the fastest-selling album by a male artist in the UK.

Ed Sheeran speaks about what he remembers most during his first visit to the Philippines through an interview with MYX Philippines in Tokyo. The singer said he has never had a reception like what he had in the Philippines. He said, “I’ve never arrived in a country and felt so welcomed. Everyone was so excited for me to be there and it was just a joy.”

Sheeran then talks about how “Castle On The Hill” and “Shape Of You” are not the best songs on the album (at least not for him) which makes him more excited to release the whole album. He says, “If you enjoy those songs, they’re not the best ones so you’re gonna like it.”

More details have yet to be announced about Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour Manila as to venue and ticket prices. One thing for sure, if ticket sales will be announced, grab one. Fast. A report by the Gulf News says Sheeran’s pre-sale tickets for his Dubai concert on November 23 have been sold out in hours.

Meanwhile, Sheerios on Twitter have been rambling about how to make sure they have enough to buy a ticket for Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour Manila. Look at some of those we found on Twitter.

Ed Sheeran isn’t the only artist coming to the Philippines this year. Ariana Grande is also expected in August for her “Dangerous Woman Tour Manila.” Who’s concert will you be at this year? Divide Tour Manila? Or Dangerous Woman Tour Manila? To vote, click here.
