Bells are ringing; the time to find places to visit in Baguio for Christmas is here! 

Baguio is known to have cold weather in the Philippines all year round but it becomes cooler towards the end of the year making it perfect for Christmas. So it’s no wonder people from all places come to visit this excellent spot every year!

This December 2021, Baguio City opened its door to 4000 tourists instead of 3000. Along with the residents of Baguio, planning on places to visit this Christmas can be a challenge. That’s why planning your itinerary ahead of time is a must—still confused about where to go? Here’s a list of Baguio places to visit this Christmas 2021:

Places to visit in Baguio City this Christmas 2021

Christmas Village 

Located at Baguio Country Club, the Christmas Village 2021 would showcase a performance focused on the birth of Jesus. There is also a snow machine that will put a smile on the children’s faces. Inside the Christmas village, there are food booths available if you’re feeling a bit hungry or thirsty. There’s even a wall of wishes that you’ll have to see for yourself when you visit this Christmas season. 

The entrance fee would depend on the time you visit. Price starts at Php 70 for Baguio resident adults and has an increment of only Php 5-10 for Non-Residents. The price for Senior citizens would start at Php 45 for Residents, then the increments would follow. Php 20 would be the starting price for Baguio Resident kids, and increments follow. And if you’re a BCC member or a PWD, your entrance is FREE!

Be sure to get your requirements ready, like your vaccination card, your triage certification, or other requirements they need. Also, make sure you wear the proper footwear as they only allow close-toed shoes and avoid sandals and slippers to prevent accidents. The Manor (Christmas Light Show)

Known for its splendor interior and exterior landscape design, the hotel has more to offer. If you’re planning to check in at The Manor, you get a free pass to their Christmas Light Show located on their hotel grounds. 

A good thing about their attraction is that kids of all ages are now allowed to explore the venue. Walk-in guests are welcomed provided they show the needed requirements that the hotel asks for. The entrance fee for the Christmas light show starts at Php 150 each for adults and Php 100 for 12-years old and below. 

In addition, the Manor is known for its buffet and free bread! Be sure to check out Le Chef at The Manor buffet, as it is available every weekday and weekend! The breakfast buffet starts at Php 980 for adults and Php 490 for kids (5-10 years old). For dinner, rates start at Php 1,500 for adults and Php 750 per kid (5-10 years old). Be sure to note the time as the Breakfast buffet begins at 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM and dinner from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Camp Riverside 2600 

If you’re looking for quiet escapes to relax in Baguio, Camp Riverside 2600 is one of the perfect places to visit this Christmas. It offers an open area where families can reconnect with nature. They also provide fun outdoor activities such as bonfires, camping, and a mini-golf putting area, perfect for small group gatherings. There’s also a picturesque café in the area that fits the budget. 

Enjoy the view of the mountains and a treehouse-type venue. Rejuvenate and unwind from the cityscapes and feel nature at its finest.

Le Coq Bleu Homestay 

Are you interested in staying at a French cottage with a Baguio twist? Le Coq Bleu offers just that. A cozy homestay filled with French influences is situated along Gulf View Subdivision, 5.1km away from Session Road. If you’re looking for places to visit that is different and unique, you have chosen the right spot to check-in. 

The place is also pet-friendly and very Instagramable! If you’re looking to book a night, the price starts at Php 3,000 for two on Airbnb and will vary depending on your desired booking site. Per extra bed will charge an additional Php 500 per adult and Php 250 for 2-5 years olds. The French homestay has a maximum capacity of 5 persons but is worth it if you’re traveling in a small group. 

They will explain the curfew schedule at the start of your check-in period. Don’t worry, as curfew doesn’t apply during Christmas time! So pack your bags and explore this homestay while bookings are still available.

Venus Garden 

Consequently, just a few minutes’ walk away from Le Coq Bleu, there’s a gorgeous restaurant that is filled with sights to see. From alfresco dining to a pet-friendly environment, everyone is sure to be filled with happiness. Although the price is in the thousand range, the memories in this place will surely be worth what you’ve paid for. 

If your goal is to wine and dine with live musicians playing, they can do it! If you want to enjoy the scenery while eating, trees, plants, etc., are present everywhere you look. Be sure to give Venus Garden a visit this Christmas if you’re traveling to Baguio.

Mario’s Baguio 1971

Established in 1971, Mario’s has been a contender in the food industry. Serving up delicious Spanish cuisines, like Salpicao, Mornay red snapper, paella, fine wine, and much more, no wonder the restaurant still operates until this day. But one of the famous factors of why Mario’s is popular until today is that their food is homegrown. A must-try dish is the Ceasar salad! A salad containing only the freshest ingredients, the taste is truly divine. 

You should give Mario’s a visit this Christmas season if you’re planning on going to Baguio. Although, it’s a little bit on the fine-dining side, but every peso is worth it! 

Night Market 

Late at night? Are you looking for cheap foods that satisfy your cravings? Or are you simply hoping for a lucky find?

At Baguio City Night Market, you can do all that! Your visit to Baguio is not complete without going to Night Market, even if it’s only for a little while. Stores close early that’s why people have limited things to do at night. Even so, you can find different varieties of food at low prices, affordable apparel, footwear, accessories, and many more. 

Other than eating and browsing the stalls, you can also enjoy the mesmerizing lights and trees in the area while walking. Enjoy the breezing ambiance of the Baguio night market scenery. In addition, you can feel the Christmas vibes when you visit Baguio.

The place offers peace and serenity with a modern twist of different cuisines and leisure activities.
