Uber Rider Leaves Phone, Driver Returns It With Flowers And Donuts

Uber rider CK Lucas gets the surprise of her life when an Uber driver returns the phone she left in his car. Although honesty among Uber drivers is quite common, this time around, she gets more than just her phone. The unnamed driver also gave her flowers and a box of donuts.

CK Lucas, according to a PEP.ph report is incidentally a sister of one of the Hashtags, Jon Lucas. To show her appreciation for the gesture, she posted a selfie with the Uber driver on her Twitter account.

Netizens React to Uber Driver’s move

CK took an Uber ride to school last June 16, Friday. She, later on, realized that her phone was missing, and she likely left it in the car. Later that day, the driver returned her phone coupled with flowers and a box of donuts.

She captioned her post and called it a “plot twist” – the fact that she was the one who caused all this trouble, the driver was more than kind and honest. In one of her replies to one of her followers, she initially found the gesture “weird” but she was nonetheless happy to have her phone back.

Her tweet as of publishing has gotten so much attention with over 29,000 likes and over 1,600 re-tweets.

In one of the replies to her tweet, a staff of two local TV networks were trying to get in touch with her to tell her story. Another reply by one of her followers also showed a link to an Indonesian new site where her story was featured. Another follower also informed her that she was even featured in Uber Stories.

Some replies also tried to predict what will happen next. One user suggested another plot twist, which when the driver returns the phone, he saves his number on it. Still, another suggests that the driver’s next move would be to court her.

Despite all these comments, what is important is how the rider appreciated that the driver took the effort to return her lost phone.
