Let’s admit it – everyone wants to experience that perfect staycation at least once in their lifetime. Whether you are single with lots of adult responsibilities or a mom who just needs some peace and quiet, a staycation will always be good for your sanity.

The Perfect Staycation in Baguio at Hotel Supreme

The term “staycation” is a portmanteau of the words “stay” and “vacation.” It means going on a vacation without either leaving your house or your city of residence. For moms like me, it can also be called a “momcation,” or a quick break from parenting duties.

What makes up the perfect staycation? What does one look for in a hotel for it to become good “staycation” material? In Baguio, you may not need to look further than Hotel Supreme.

Supreme Food Choices for Every Craving

Hotel Supreme was established by spouses Peter and Evelyn Ng in 1989. Since then, the hotel has always been a popular choice for conferences, weddings, debuts and other events. Big or small, each event is made more memorable with good food and excellent service that fits every budget.

Aside from signature Chinese dishes served up in events, there’s more to Hotel Supreme when it comes to food choices. After you check-in in the afternoon, you can chill and relax while enjoying a Cappuccino with a slice of their Mango Cheesecake at Gloria Jeans Coffees. This Australian coffee chain has found itself a home at the lobby of Hotel Supreme. Nothing beats a good cup of coffee while catching up on the day’s headlines.

For dinner, fill up on old-fashioned American diner food with a twist of the future at Future Diner. This restaurant is owned by the youngest brother of Peter Ng, Stephen. They serve up classic comfort food such as Fried Chicken, Burgers, Pizza and Pasta. But one of their unique selling points is the diner’s Mango Pizza. This dessert pizza is a wonderful combination of fresh mangos and cream on a light pizza crust. Top off your slice with some tabasco sauce for a memorable pizza experience. Future Diner is located on the lobby level of the hotel.

After a good night’s rest, you can enjoy your breakfast at the Lobby Lounge. A salad bar is also available for guests who want a light breakfast. Unlimited brewed coffee can also be enjoyed whatever your breakfast meal is.

Craving for authentic Chinese food for lunch? Head on down to Lotus House, found on the first floor of the original Hotel Supreme building across the street. No other Mrs. Evelyn Ng supervises the kitchen so you are guaranteed to taste one of the best Chinese food in Baguio. Highly recommended are the Sweet and Sour Lapu-lapu (with a unique mango sauce) and the Fried Wanton with Pickled Shallots. If you enjoy food as much as I do, Hotel Supreme should be your top choice for your staycation.

First-Class Amenities for All Your Needs

Going on a staycation does not mean cutting yourself off entirely from work or your family. The good thing about staycations is that you have the freedom to choose to do what you want. For me, that means being able to call home and check on the kids if absolutely necessary. That may also mean being able to check on my emails and social media. Should you have the need to take a video call in case something urgent comes up at work, don’t worry. Find a spot at the lobby, and the hotel’s high-speed Internet will do the rest for you.

Hotel Supreme’s room amenities will set the tone for some serious relaxation. Take a long, hot bath in the hot-tub/jacuzzi. Or enjoy a cup of hot coffee to end your day. After that, you can enjoy some serious channel surfing (or not) while cozying up on your soft bed.

If you are like me who sometime has a hard time tuning out from work, Hotel Supreme’s rooms are perfect for an ultimate staycation.
